Lucy and Greg at The Marin Art and Garden Center

I was on vacation for the last week, so let me catch you up on what has been going on. I left on Thursday, the 30th to attend a cocktail party for The Bridal Connection Magazine at the Governor Hotel in Portland. They have been acquired by Tiger Oak Publications, the publisher of Seattle Bride. I will be the last local photographer to have work shown on the cover, with this fall's issue being my fourth cover for them since the summer of 2003 (they publish quarterly). We got home from the party at about 11 or so, with a plane to catch at 6:20 the next morning. I was up at about 4:45, and to the airport by 5:50. I was met at the airport by Greg, the groom for Saturday's wedding, and his friend Jeff from Cincinnati. We jumped in the car and headed to Marin, going right through the center of the city. We soon met up with the bride at the San Anselmo Inn and headed back to the city for a few pre-wedding portraits at the Palace of Fine Arts and Fisherman's wharf. We were met by Yoshi Morimoto from L.A. who drove up to be a guest photographer. It was great working with him, and if you are in Southern California, hire him for you wedding! We shot until early afternoon, then headed back across the bridge to get ready for the rehearsal diner at Insalatas in San Anselmo, who also catered the wedding the next day. Saturday we got started at the Marin Art and Garden Center (the site of the ceremony and reception) around 2 for family and wedding party photos, with the wedding at 4 (it needed to happen a little early because the venue closes at 10). It was a wonderful evening, with mild weather and beautiful light. We waited until the light was just right to take the Greg and Lucy away for a few minutes of photography under the largest magnolia tree I have ever seen. The evening was highlighted by the bride and groom sharing a cup cake rather than cutting a cake and dancing to the great jazz band that happened to have the bride's cousin, John, playing the saxophone.

Like the pics. What software did you use to distort the color pic?
camresu,
I used photoshop, but I didn't do much to it...I shot it with an 85mm f1.8 wide open, then added a slight blur layer and tweaked the saturation and the contrast...thanks for asking!
