Megan's Senior Portrait Session

Megan and her mom Elizabeth drove down from Hilsboro today for the first senior portrait session of the season. It seems they spent quite a bit of time researching the internet looking for a look that fit Megan's personality and settled on us. I am flattered everytime we have a customer travel so far to be photographed. Megan is on the dance team and student council along with all of the other activities of being a soon to be senior. For this image we drove down to the McKenzie River where Megan was happy to get right it in her prom dress! Thanks Megan!

Jesse & Kristin Engagement Session

Jesse and Kristin are getting married on September 3, so we thought it would be nice to do a little engagement session. I chose the image above to show because I think it just really screams "Summer Luvin'". The couple lives in Florence, but they are having their wedding at Whisper 'N Oaks in September. I shot the senior portraits of Kristin sister Holly a few years back. I love repeat customers! Check back in about a month to see their wedding photos.

Little Mya

Today I had the pleasure of photographing little Mya. I really wanted to capture the color and sparkle of her eyes, so I used the front room of the studio to take advantage of the beautiful north light there. She is such a funny little girl and has such a pretty little grin!

Arron & Sierra at the Oregon Gardens

Sierra and Arron tied the knot Sunday at The Oregon Garden in Silverton. I had not visited the gardens before, so I was excited to have a chance to work there. The grounds are simply amazing. I highly recommend it for a wedding. The ceremony was held in a large lawn next to a beautiful waterfall, and the reception was held in the pavilion nearby (my second photographer, John, got the great image in the center, showing the great lighting in the pavilion). After the ceremony we wandered the grounds taking fun portraits for a few minutes while the guests were seated. The catering was done by Willoughby's, and the entertainment was provided by Tim Hay. Video services were provided by Shaka-Bra out of Portland.

Matthew and Ashley get married

On Saturday Matthew and Ashley tied the knot and a private home along the McKenzie River. The homeowner has spent many years landscaping a huge garden with a waterfall, huge arbors, interesting features, a rustic barn and on and on. The garden will be available soon for other weddings, so get in on it early if you want to book your wedding there!
Matthew drove his 1967 Camaro to the wedding, and the bride arrived in her father's 1953 Corvette. The ceremony and the dancing were held in front of the waterfall, with the reception on the lawn in front of an antique piece of logging equipment that has been turned into sculpture. Even with the 90 degree heat, it was really a wonderful wedding.

A little sister for Reagan

Last week we got another visit from one of our loyal families.
Apparently Reagan's mommy is making a new baby sister. We can't wait to meet her!
