Stephanie's Senior Portrait Session

Today is Stephanie's big 1-8 birthday!!! How nice of her to spend the day with us, shooting her senior portraits. Stephanie seems like a real go-getter. She will be going off to OSU after graduation from Springfield High this June. We had a great time and got a bunch of great pictures. Thanks Stephanie!

Photo Editing

I wanted to show everyone the kind of editing we do here for our portrait work. This is an image of Katie, who is a senior this year. In the before image she is too dark to really notice details in her face, and the lighter shades of the background compete for attention with her.

In the after image we brought the attention back to Katie by darkening the background down, and lightening up Katie. I could have done this using a flash when I shot it, but it would have looked too artificial.
