Summer is officially over!

Well, it's official...summer is over. These are a few of the personal images I created this summer of my family. Aiden and Aaron at the fair, my daughter (on the right) and her friend at Champeog State Park, my son Aaron riding his tricycle, our friend running on the dock, and last but not least, my wife Lisa. Lisa has a pretty rare bone disease called osteonecrosis that she has dealt with most of her life. Early in the summer she had the second hip replacement of her life, the first was five years ago when she was 26. To make a long story short, we expected to spend the entire summer with Lisa in recovery of this traumatic procedure. Due to a wonderful new less-invasive surgery performed at Orthopedics International here in Eugene my precious wife up and about in no time. Thanks Dr. Jewitt!

Pillow Talk Commercial Shoot

Today I had the great pleasure of photographing these cute little decorative pillows. They make them for just about any occasion...birthdays, holidays, weddings, shopping, eating, drinking, you name it. We shot them all in the studio, then a few of them on location in action. Look for them locally at Nick and Nora's, and in gift shops throughout the west.

Shasta, a Eugene Oregon H.S. Senior

This image of Shasta was created in the front door to my studio, with the evening sun reflecting off of the building across the street. Her mom was holding the bottom of her dress at an angle that we could use to have it create a background for the image. I love the way the dress and the background are exactly the same. Thanks Shasta!

Taryn's Eugene Senior Portrait Sitting

This image is pretty much how it looked right out of the camera. The light with the sunset was just incredible. I love the warm light with the subtle flames on the side of her cowboy hat. The black suit really lends itself to a scene with all of the rough textures of the old barn. The placid look on Taryn's face is absolutely perfect for this image. Thanks Taryn!

Justina's Senior Portrait Session, Eugene, Oregon

I love this shot. The lines, the color, the perspective, the expression on Justina's face...I think it really has an incredible feeling of Autumn. Justina had Tiffany come in to do her hair and makeup. Having a professional stylist can really make a difference in the outcome of the images if you are not experienced in doing your own. Thanks Justina!
